About Anytime Fitness

Anytime Fitness was founded in the USA in 2002 and has since grown to become a global franchise with over 4500 clubs worldwide. They also have around 500 clubs in Australia alone, serving over 500,000 members.

Anytime was the first gym chain to lead the charge with offering the ability to train 24/7 which lead to their extreme success.

Why Should I Choose Anytime Fitness?

✓ With so many different clubs around Australia and the world, Anytime Fitness is great for those who like to travel and still keep in shape. You’ll also find plenty of clubs in remote areas and country towns.

✓ Anytime is open 24/7, meaning you can workout whenever you like using your swipe key to open up during non-staffed hours.

✓ Anytime is fairly well priced at around only $70 a month, which is much cheaper than some of the other well-known gym chains.

What Limitations Does Anytime Have?

Most Anytime gyms we have visited have been pretty small in size and have a large number of members, which means it can get fairly crowded during peak times.

✗ Anytime are very limited in their group fitness offerings. Occasionally, a club my offer very basic classes, but they aren’t a patch on other gym chains’ offerings.

✗ In most cases, you’ll need to pay the $99.00 sign up fee + $69.95 for your access pass, which is a big upfront cost and may put some new members off.

✗ During your first month of membership, you’ll only have access to your home club. This may be frustrating for those who want to go on a last minute trip and sign up for their gyms while they travel.

Anytime Fitness Opening Hours

Anytime Fitness is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for working out. You use a swipe key to access the club during non-staffed hours which you recieve when signing up.

If you’re hoping to sign up or ask any specific questions, you’ll need to visit Anytime Fitness during their staffed hours and these times may vary from club to club and throughout the week.

Anytime Fitness Equipment & Facilities

Anytime Fitness equipment varies greatly between locations, however, as a minimum, you’ll find the following:

  • Cardio machines such as treadmills, bikes & ellipticals.

  • Squat rack/cage(s) with barbells, plates, safety bars and clamps.
  • Machine area with leg press, assisted pull ups, leg extension, chest press, etc.
