Once you have installed the app you will be asked a series of questions so that Forks Meal Planner can provide the best meal plans to suit your needs. These include:

- How many are you cooking for?
- Are you allergic to nuts, gluten, or soy?
- Would you like us to schedule breakfast?
- Save your meal plan
Once you have completed the sign-up process, you will be taken to the ‘Plans’ tab. Here you will be presented with your meals for the first 5 days. Meals include:

All aspect of the platform has been expertly designed. The clear color palette is used to distinguish functions and options, that present the brand aesthetic, while not distracting from the function of the app.
Images and banners are well placed, further reinforcing direction and each tab’s purpose.
Tying in with the aesthetics of the app, the menu systems, are bold, clear, and informative. This allows you to easily browse and understand the function of tabs and sub-menus effortlessly.
Tab and menu items are well-placed and excellently weighted. All navigation options feel necessary, with each subsequent menu and tab holding a purpose.
While these seem like minor issues, these components must come together to present a cohesive user experience that a no point leaves the user feeling lost.

| Forks Over Knives Meal Planner Limitations
When we used the app, we did notice some lag issues. Admittedly this may be due to my phones, however, this is the first time in a while that I have experience lag and unresponsive menus.
Delays occurred infrequently, which could last from 1-2 seconds. While this is not a major issue as it may be a technical issue of my device, lagging can be annoying to deal with, especially when it’s accompanied by an unresponsive interface.
No Blog or Informative Content
Like many meal planners on the market, Forks Meal Planner does not offer any additional resources such as blogs or videos.
While it can be common for this type of platform to double down on developing a smooth meal planning interface, the use of written and video content can go a long way to educating and helping users to build long-term habits.
