About Snap Fitness

Snap Fitness is a North American gym chain founded in 2003 and has since grown to over 2000 clubs across the world and over 200 in Australia alone.

Snap are all about offering an affordable gym membership that allows you to work out at any time without having to pay for all the bells and whistles that other clubs charge a premium for.

Each Snap Fitness Club has the basic facilities and equipment you need to make a great start on your fitness journey.

Is Snap Fitness Open 24/7?

Snap Fitness is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You use a swipe key to access the club during non-staffed hours which you purchase when signing up.

Staffed hours vary from club to club and throughout the week, however, if you visit during the busy times of the day (e.g. 6 – 9am or 4 – 7pm), you should run into a staff member who will help you either sign up or answer questions.

Snap Fitness Membership Cost

A membership at Snap Fitness starts at $12.95 per week. Prices do vary between different locations, so contact your local Snap Fitness for pricing confirmation.

Snap has two types of memberships – you can either pay as you go on a direct debit or commit to either a 3 month, 6 month or 12-month contract.

In general, the longer the contract, the lower your weekly membership rate.

Does Snap Fitness have Sign Up Fees?

Snap Fitness sign up fees vary between locations and the time of year, however, several sources say that it is around the $59 mark.

You may be able to avoid the sign up fee in some circumstances, such as during a promotional period or if you are signing up for a long term contract, e.g. 12 months.

Snap Fitness Promotions

Snap do have several promotions each year, so keep an eye out on their website.

Promotions are seasonal, so if you’ve missed out, it won’t be long before another comes around.

Does Snap Fitness Have Classes?

Most Snap Fitness facilities do not usually have any group fitness classes, however, some do have some limited options including Yoga, Pilates, Boxing, Strength Circuit & Spin.

Again, these offerings vary by location, so check with your local club to see what’s on offer.

A Snap membership does offer you access to their exclusive website – my.snapnation.com.au – which allows online access to high-quality workouts such as HIIT, Lower Body, Upper Body, CORE and Pilates, with new sessions being released daily.

What Equipment Does Snap Fitness Have?

Snap Fitness Clubs has the following equipment: a cardio area with ellipticals, rowing machines, bikes and treadmills, a machine area including leg press, assisted chin-ups, a smith machine, etc. and a free weights area including dumbbells, benches, bench press, etc.

We have also seen many clubs being renovated in recent times, adding in a functional training space with extra cages, bars and plates, battle ropes and some even having an astroturf track with sleds, but this isn’t every club.

Snap Fitness also have your typical amenities including open lockers, showers/toilets, water taps and a reception area.
