For You Tab
The For You tab acts as your digital head quarters on the YogaGlo app.
- Upcoming Live Classes
- Programs Based On Your Interests
- Popular Workouts, Pilates and Meditations.
The For You tab is a basic introduction to everything the YogaGlo platform has to offer, however I feel like it is lacking direction.
The best fitness applications take you on a journey to better health and fitness.
Helping you visualise your goal and outlining how you are going to get there with a weekly planner on the front page to help you see your goal and stay motivated every time you open the app.
The Live Classes tab allows you to wade through the weekly program of the YogaGlo platform and jump in a class with the trainer of your choice.
This is an outstanding feature. YogaGlo offer a great range of class types, however being in Australia, the class times were a bit erratic, ranging from 5am, 10pm and 1am.
Search And Library
The search and library tabs work together to help you refine your search to find the perfect workout for you.
The selective use of text and cute stick figures make the search bar feel calming while being helpful. The search bar allows you to refine your search by:
- Exercise Types (Pilates, Meditations, Fitness And Yoga)
- Purpose (Improve Sleep, Learn To Meditate, Build Strength)
- Class Schedule
- Class History
- Teachers And More.
Once you have selected the program or workout type you want you will open up into a larger menu, allowing you to pick from all the workouts in that category, each workout comes with a short blurb outlining the purpose, intensity and duration of the workout.
The YogaGlo Workouts
The YogaGlo workouts were smooth, relaxing and informative, as the teachers took the time to calmly and clearly explain each move, allowing you to nail the technique before you jump into the deep end.
Each workout ranges from 5 – 120 minutes long and in typical that comes with more balance, core and coordination practices such as Yoga and Pilates, the sessions were not traditionally challenging, I was not sweating particularly hard and did not think I was going to vomit.
But I did find muscle that I had long believed did not exist.
Shaking after just a few seconds of controlled movements and poses.
And the calming tones used by the instructors and clear instructions combined with the blank white studios where the workouts are being filmed made for a extremely relaxing workout experience.
