What Makes Genesis Different?
✓ Genesis is in the middle of the pack in terms of cost and is quite similar to gyms like Fitness First, Goodlife and Crunch, however, there are a few perks that help them to stand out from the rest.
✓ Genesis offer new members a free fitness consultation, personal training session and training plan upon joining. They also offer regular check-ins every 12 weeks to keep you on track.
✓ They offer Paid in Full memberships, which works out to be a cheaper weekly rate than pay as you go options.
✓ They are Australian owned.
✓ They offer a small group & nutrition training, branded as ‘the coaching zone’ for an extra cost, which members are raving about. This gives you a more individualised program without having to pay for expensive personal training.
What Limitations Does Genesis Fitness Have?
✗ Genesis don’t offer 24/7 access at all of their locations.
✗ Genesis are more expensive than other gym brands such as Anytime Fitness, Jetts and Snap Fitness.
✗ Like many other big gym brands, many members experience frustrations and unexpected costs when trying to cancel their membership at Genesis. It’s very important that you thoroughly read and understand you contract before signing up.
✗ Personally, I’ve found Genesis to be a little pushy when signing up new clients. I felt quite coerced when I first stepped foot in their facility to ask about gym membership, rather than encouraged. This may be a little intimidating for those new to their fitness journey.
Is Genesis Fitness Open 24/7?
Some Genesis locations are open 24/7, however, not all of them are.
If you definitely want access at all hours, you’ll need to check with your local Genesis to confirm whether this service is on offer or not.
