Our Experience With Lauren Simpson Fitness
Signing up to Lauren Simpson Fitness is simple. Simply select a program and answer a few basic questions about your health, goals and lifestyle and you are ready to go.
We chose to utilise the 3 day free trial of the Shred program.
From here you will find yourself on the home tab. Where the Lauren Simpson app will take a few minutes to generate a program specific to your needs.
Here you will also be able to track your weekly progress, your daily calorie, macronutrient and step goals, check out your personalised meal plan or jump straight into your first workout.
Our favourite part of the home tab is the clear focus on small measurable and achievable goals like steps, calories and nutrient tracking.
Becoming a healthier, fitter and happier person can be extremely overwhelming and it is easy to get caught up in the big picture and leave you in a stationary ball of anxiety, so this small addition is a big plus.
Meals Tab
On the meal tab you will find your personalised daily meal plan outlined and accompanied with shopping list function, taking the stress out of eating healthy.
Each meal comes complete with a calorie and macronutrient breakdown, recipe and the ability to save your the recipes you love for later and swap out the recipes you do not with ease.
The only thing missing from these meals plans is the ability to customise and find suitable replacements for specific ingredients without the need to change the entire meal.

Our daily meal plan consisted of three main meals and two snacks.

Each workout comes with super sets combining multiple exercises, complete with sets and reps and video demonstration to help you get the most out of your time at the gym.
The workout takes a no nonsense approach, outlining everything you need to do from start to finish.
This is the type of programming we have only seen in fitness apps and programs such as Centr or V Shred which offer more in depth gym based workouts.
The workout structure and style is simple and easy to follow and offers a lot of bang for your buck for people who are looking for a quick and efficient gym workout.
However, supersets, reps and gym based training may be overwhelming for beginner users.

The meal plans were simple and easy to follow but provided users with clear guidance and direction that you need. The Lauren Simpson meal plan is up there with Healthy Mummy.

Programs are complete with super sets, reps and exercises which is something you only see in a few fitness apps like Centr or V Shred.

Meal Plans Limited Customisation
The Lauren Simpson meal plan is awesome the only small detail that was missing is the ability to swap out individual ingredients rather than entire recipes.
Only Gym Based Programs
The programs are great, but they only cater to people who have the ability, experience and confidence to workout in a gym setting.
Providing a basic home workout program that allows newer users to build up to a gym based program could be a useful addition.
A Little Bit Intimidating
The program may be a little bit intimidating for beginners.
The addition of different gym equipment, supersets and a gym setting may be off putting to those who are new to the world of health and fitness.
